About Liz Rogers
I started Black Bee Studio to stay close to the work. As a boutique firm, every project is led by me, from the first site visit to the final styling.
My work spans condo and rental residences, amenity spaces, student housing, restaurants, offices and custom homes across Canada. I care about the details people feel every day: good lighting, comfortable furniture and finishes that still look right years later.
My student housing work also includes ALMA Gastown in Vancouver, a 1913 heritage hotel converted into 109 furnished suites, and ALMA Sandy Hill, steps from the University of Ottawa. I approach every residence by asking how the design can shape the student experience: shared spaces that make it easy to meet people, and rooms that feel welcoming from move-in day.
Other work includes the interior renovation of a historic home. Currently in design: IL FORNELLO Lambton, a new Italian restaurant at 2650 St. Clair Avenue West in Toronto.
Clients include Dunpar Homes, Forum Asset Management, Campus Suites and KingSett Capital.
Recognition: ALMA Guelph won Development of the Year and Multi-Residential Development of the Year at the NAIOP Greater Toronto REX Awards.
